NorthWest Computers & IT Services (“we”, “us”), a company of SAS Enterprises, LLC, based in Hayden, Idaho, respects your privacy. This policy explains what information this website (northwestcomputers.us) collects, why, and the choices you have.
Information you give us
When you send a service request, we receive the details you enter: your name, phone number, email address, town, the service you need, your message and how you prefer to be contacted. We use this only to answer your request and provide the service you ask for. We do not sell, rent or trade it, and we do not add you to a mailing list unless you ask.
When you call or email us, we keep the information you share so we can help you and keep a record of the work we do.
Information collected automatically
- Server logs. Like nearly all websites, our web host records basic technical information such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested. This is used for security and troubleshooting.
- Spam and abuse protection. When you submit the service-request form we record your IP address with the request, and we briefly keep a scrambled (hashed) version of it to limit repeated submissions and failed login attempts. This protects the site and our inbox from abuse.
- Cookies. This website does not use advertising or tracking cookies. WordPress sets cookies only for people who log in to manage the site.
- Analytics. If we use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site, it collects information such as pages visited and general location, using cookies. You can opt out with Google’s browser add-on or by blocking cookies in your browser.
Third-party services
- Google Fonts supplies the typefaces on this site. Your browser connects to Google’s servers to download them, which shares your IP address with Google. See Google’s Privacy Policy.
- Share links on our pages (Facebook, LinkedIn, X) are plain links. Nothing is sent to those services unless you click one.
How long we keep information
Service requests sent through the website are deleted automatically after 24 months. Records of work performed for customers are kept as long as needed for warranty, accounting and legal purposes.
Your data during repairs
When you trust us with a computer, phone or server, we access your files only as needed to perform the service you requested, such as recovering data or confirming a repair works. We never copy, share or keep your personal files beyond the job unless you ask us to (for example, holding a backup during a data transfer), and those copies are securely deleted afterward.
How we protect information
This site uses an encrypted (HTTPS) connection, and access to stored requests is limited to our staff. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information.
Your choices
You may ask us to show you, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you by calling (208) 277-0877 or by sending a request through our contact page.
Children
This website is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
